9:35Zakimi Castle Ruins（about 1 hour）
It is a World Heritage Site and a gusuku （castle） built in the early 15th century. The stone-piled walls are gracefully curved, and the beauty of the form created by advanced technology can be enjoyed. In the quiet air, enjoy the magnificent view while feeling the historical romance.

Yuntanza Museum

Renovated from its predecessor, the Museum of History and Folklore. Exhibits the natural and cultural heritage nurtured under Zakimi Castle and in Yomitan. There is also a diorama of a toadstool used as an air-raid shelter and the traditional okinawan turtleback tomb, resembling the back of a turtle’s shell, to give you a sense of the real Yomitan.

11:10Yachimun no sato （Yomitan Pottery Village）（about 1 hour）
This is the area where the workshops of Yachimun, Okinawa’s traditional pottery, gather. The symbol of the area is a climbing kiln that carries on the tradition of Tsuboya-yaki. Take a tour of the workshops and shop in the unique atmosphere, and experience the best of Ryukyu craft culture.
